Once upon a time, in a sleepy li’l surf town not so far away, a young James Bingham received an alert ping on his phone. It was from Tinder - the match-making rascals - letting him know that a saucy young vixen had not only swiped right on his profile, but gone the extra mile and 'super liked' him. Needless to say, he was intrigued.
Endless conversations with said vixen (whose name was Kaitlyn) followed, and they decided to meet one afternoon at the Bank in Newtown where a doe-eyed, button-nosed girl with an incredible smile and cute bob, met a surfy-haired, big blue-eyed man, who had some major Johnny Depp vibes going on.
They were a match alright. Smitten kittens, right from the start. And before long they were loved-up and shacked-up. Fast-forward through a few years of crazy, fun times together, and they’re planning a wedding. Only it’s 2020, and wedding planning is about as easy as nailing jelly to a wall.
Originally, Kaitlyn and James won a competition through wedshed where they were given a photographer and a heap of other wedding-related prizes. Vendors were signed up, invites sent out, and the whole shebang was set to take off in April.
Then - da dah daaaaah - Covid happened. The C-bomb. And the whole thing got pulled out from under them.
“We basically had to pull the pin last minute and then re-plan the whole thing,” said Kaitlyn.
