Vegas or Bust - the nuptials everyone was taco’n ‘bout

Normal was never on the cards for Vanessa and Ettienne. Quirky, crazy, kooky, insane - yes! But never normal. Upon getting engaged, the couple sat down to a serious conversation... What type of wedding did they want? The answer was simple - FUN. A big ass party. Something to celebrate all their adventures together where people would remember for years to come as super mega awesome.

No strangers to a good theme and having been to Vegas on an awesome holiday a few years back, they decided to bring some of the glitz, glam and charm of Vegas back to Perth.

Vanessa searched for venues and vendors off the beaten track with a preference for supporting local small businesses where possible. The Hen House Rehearsal Studios was the perfect venue choice with its unique urban feel.

Entertainment was the key to the evening with casino tables, karaoke, a DJ, showgirls, a selfie halo and photobooth. The right celebrant was also critical and this was found in Eddie Lemnos Couto whose willingness, nay eagerness, to bring joy to the celebration as Elvis. Eddie studied up on Vegas weddings and Elvis dance moves to make the day as perfect as it could be with a monumentally personal ceremony.

Crowned with a headpiece by Batcakes Couture, Vanessa wore two dresses for the occasion with a stunning custom dress made by bespoke Drag Queen couturier Scarlet Adams of Styled by Scarlet.

A Custom neon was made to reflect the couples quirk and an epic photographer was picked for candid photos that captured the vivid emotion of the day.

There was also a hand-wrapped bouquet with handmade charms of family members passed but never forgotten.

The night wedding was everything the couple dreamed of and more.

Retrospectively, would they change anything? Well, the bride wishes she had done a better job telling everyone how much they meant to them in the speeches but that was remedied with a very personalised thank you to everyone a week after the wedding.
